War - Lucie

Class 5 have been writing pieces focusing on war, its causes and effects:

WAR

Why do we have wars?

Like two worlds divided, war ripped the bond. Ask anyone today:”If you could stop war,how would you do it?”
The majority would say:”I would talk to whoever started it.”
However, its not a who its a what.

Religion and land are the two main subjects, why  is this acceptable?
Children are being evacuated but lack of food results in illness and maybe death.
Deafening screams like gun shots echo through the battle field. No poppies will be growing here.

We can't stop fighting we have so much to say, yet it never comes out, because were afraid...
When we fight anger rushes through our veins like fire works on bonfire night.
War is everywhere, everywhere we look, everywhere we walk. Dragging footsteps of soldiers in and out of the battle field death builds under their feet in worry of their loved ones.

Like a wolf howling at the moon, war spreads through everybody’s hearts, which sends a shiver down our spines. Like a punch in the stomach we want to punch back, but when we do it involves more people, and more, and more until someone stops it all. War needs someone like this.
People deserve peace, people deserve to be equal.

The motto for war should be: “Just because its not happening here, it does not mean its not happening.”
People forget the human race is amazing; the things we do, the way we take opportunities together and the way we express ourselves. If we make a mistake we can correct it, perhaps it's  time our world leaders learned a little humility and admitted their mistakes!
